BALTIC ENERGY FORUM 2017

Baltic Energy Forum 2017 „Designing Strategies for the Baltic Energy Sector: Free Market, Smart Energy and Digital Utilities" was held on November 15, 2017 in Riga, Radisson Blu Hotel Latvia.

Baltic Energy Forum is a high profile event with the involvement of government bodies, major market players, researchers, academia, media and big consumers.

The Forum was opened by the State Secretary of Ministry of Economics of Latvia Juris Stinka. 

The first session of the Forum hosted a conversation on the development and integration of the Baltic gas and electricity markets in the Nordic market. Presentations were given and the Forum topics were discussed by the heads of three Baltic gas companies: Aigars Kalvītis, Chairman of the Board of Latvijas Gāze; Ants Noot, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Eesti Gaas, and Mantas Mikalajūnas, Chief Executive Officer of Lietuvos Dujų Tiekimas UABAlso, Rolands Irklis, Chairman of the Board of Council of Public Service Regulatory Commission, LR; Zane Kotāne, Member of the Board of Conexus Baltic Grid, and Jānis Patmalnieks, Deputy State Secretary for energy of Ministry of Economic Affairs, LR, participated in the session and discussion.

  • TOMORROW’S ENERGY: DEVELOPMENT OF CONNECTED HOME AND SMART CITIES AS A DRIVER OF ENERGY MARKET DEVELOPMENT

The next Baltic Energy Forum will be held in Riga on October 2018.
